For Autumn 2015 the Young Shakespeare Company will once again offering two internships, designed to give training and work experience to a young director and a young arts administrator at an early stage in their career.

Closing date for submissions is June 1st 2015.

Directing internship

A fifteen week internship with the Young Shakespeare Company.
Starting September 1st 2015.
Based in our rehearsal rooms and offices in Southgate, London N13.

£50 per week towards expenses.

Would suit a graduate at an early stage in their directing career with a particular interest in directing educational projects.

The intern will work alongside Artistic Directors Christopher Geelan and Sarah Gordon. Opportunities during the 15 week internship will include:

Working as Assistant Director to Christopher Geelan in September on productions of “Twelfth Night” and “Macbeth”.

Working alongside our front of house team in November as we welcome 8,000 primary school children to two different North London theatres to watch and participate in “Macbeth”

Assisting with the day to day running of the five touring productions that make up our Autumn 2015 season.

Assisting in the process of casting our Spring 2016 season

 

Arts administration internship

A fifteen week internship with the Young Shakespeare Company.
Starting September 1st 2015.
Based in our offices in Southgate, London N13.

£50 per week towards expenses.

Would suit a graduate at an early stage in their arts administration career with a particular interest in producing educational projects.

The intern will work alongside Artistic Directors Christopher Geelan and Sarah Gordon.

Opportunities during the 15 week internship will include:

Working alongside Sarah Gordon in the planning and execution of the company’s year round programme of productions, workshops and residencies.

Assisting with the day to day running of the five touring productions that make up our Autumn 2015 season.

Working alongside our front of house team in November as we welcome 8,000 primary school children to two different North London theatres to watch and participate in “Macbeth”

Assisting with the marketing and booking of our forthcoming projects.

Assisting in the process of casting our Spring 2016 season
